PUBLIC AND PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES

The Triangle area is rich in schools of all types. We are lucky enough to
have most of North Carolina's best universities right here in our backyard.
Some would say they are among the best schools in the country. These same
schools were the backbone on which the Research Triangle Park was founded
and are one of the very reasons that we are one of the most desirable places
in the country to live.

Our schools not only educate the youth of our state and nation, they bring a
wide variety of cultural events to our area with series like "Broadway at
Duke" and "The American Dance Festival." If you desire, you can increase
your own knowledge by attending lectures on special interest
topics offered by the universities or add to your education from the wide
array of classes offered at our community colleges and through the
universities' continuing education programs. Be it computer or culinary,
with the talent in the Triangle you can increase your skills in almost any
field.
